Counseling

School counseling is provided to assist students with issues that impact their academic and social well-being. Counseling is a short term, supportive intervention to address behavioral, academic, developmental, and/or emotional concerns. The school counseling program includes individual counseling, small group counseling, and class activities. The counselor is also available for consultation with parents, guardians, and faculty, who are encouraged to use the counselor as a resource.

For more information about St. Bernard’s School counseling program please see the school handbook.

As part of the St. Bernard school counseling program, peer mediation is available to students. Peer mediation is a process of resolving conflict between students, with trained students acting as mediators.
