St. Bernard School 
Not only does St. Bernard offer the most Contemporary Core Curriculum, but students are given the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of technological,academic, social, enrichment, leadership and service activities both inside and outside the classroom.
Academic Programs
Accelerated Reader
St. Bernard School participates in the Accelerated Reader program to strengthen reading skills and foster a life long love of reading.
Peer Tutoring
Peer tutoring is a service offered, for a minimal fee, by academically advanced middle school students. Any age student is eligible for assistance and may participate one or two days per week as needed.
Special Education
The Office of Lifelong Formation and Education and St. Bernard School promote the inclusion of students with mild disabilities. St. Bernard will utilize 504 and strategy plans as documented test results warrant.
BETS
Broadening Education for Today’s Students is a program for the top five students in grades five through eight from St. Athanasius, St. Bartholomew, St. Rita, and St. Bernard. These students participate in two sessions of classes that promote high academic standards for advanced students.
Math
Archdiocese Math Program is offered to qualified eighth grade students. Students in this program take an exit exam at the end of the school year that may allow them to be placed in an advanced mathematics track in high school.
Leadership and Service Activities
St. Bernard Catholic School students are given the opportunity to engage in leadership and service activities such as: Step-by-Step Stewardship, Big/Little Buddy, Student Council, Safety Patrol, and Flag Duty.

Library Services
St. Bernard library has approximately 14,000 books. The library is open on a flex schedule. The latest circulation for the library is 19,000 books checked out during one school year. The students are able to take books home over the long holidays and weekends. The students also use the library for resource projects. Faculty and staff use the library as well to adapt to their theme plans.
Languages
Upon availability, high school and college St. Bernard alumni, provide small group language classes after school. To date Spanish, German, and French have been offered.
