CAFE

The C.A.F.E. (Catholic Adult Faith Education) Ministry team is committed to bringing Adult Formation opportunities through which Catholic adults can consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer, and study. We sponsor and promote programs to help Adult Catholics deepen their understanding of Jesus Christ as it applies to modern society and works to enable adults to accept their role as intentional disciples of Christ.

In addition to the ongoing programs that we offer (Koinonia and, Small Christian Communities/Scripture Study Groups) there will be many other opportunities to study, grow, learn and share your faith with others. Please watch for in-house C.A.F.E. offerings to be shared on this website and in our bulletin.

"99" Masterclass

ANNOUNCING THE “99 MASTERCLASS”

A unique opportunity for you to grow in your faith and for our parish to become an even stronger and more inviting community.

If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost. – Matthew 18:12-14

The name “99” describes how many Catholics think of themselves.  We see ourselves as part of the flock, as part of the ninety-nine, safe in the care of the Good Shepherd.  We do not see ourselves as needing to be found, like the “one” sheep who has gone astray.  Nor do we see the need to seek after the “one,” the “lost” sheep, through evangelization

The “99” is a call to recognize that we just might be that one sheep who is lost, even though we might be part of Jesus’ flock.  It is a call to enter into a deeper relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd.  It is also a call to recognize when we need to be the shepherd to others, leaving the flock to spread the message of the Gospel.     Come be part of this small group video based six-week course that will change the way you look at the call to evangelize and your faith.

Your choice of three different days - choose the day and time that works best for you or switch them as needed.

Do not be content just being part of the “ninety-nine.”

Be the one God works through.

Be the one who goes out and finds the “one.”

God calls us to be fishers of men, not keepers of the aquarium.
